Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store (collectively, “the Service” or “our apps”). We operate under two developer names, which identify the same developer and the same legal entity:

  • Apps Bay — our developer name on the Apple App Store.
  • Ida yang — our developer name on the Google Play Store.

References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy mean that single developer, under whichever name you encountered our apps. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described below.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, Apps Bay may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to device name, operating system version, and app version. The information that we request will be retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

Our apps do not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Service Providers

Apps Bay may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information in order to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Advertising

Some of our apps display ads provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdMob. These networks may collect and use data about you — including your device’s advertising identifier — to serve and measure ads, and, where permitted, to personalize them. For more information, please review Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Where required, we ask for your permission before your advertising identifier is used for personalized advertising, and we respect your choice. If you decline, our apps continue to work exactly as before; you will simply see ads that are not personalized. See Your Rights in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland and Your California Privacy Rights below.

Security

We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

Our apps may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by Apps Bay. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

Our apps do not address anyone under the age of 13. Apps Bay does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary action.

Your Rights in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to our processing of your personal data. We act as the data controller for that processing.

Legal bases. We rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for advertising that uses your device’s advertising identifier, and for any other purpose requiring consent under the ePrivacy Directive. You may withdraw consent at any time, as described below.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — for showing non-personalized advertising to fund the free version of our apps, for diagnosing crashes, and for protecting against fraud and abuse. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.

Consent management. Before we request ads for users in these regions, our apps present a consent form provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform. Your choices are recorded and applied before any ad is requested, on that launch and on every subsequent launch.

Withdrawing or changing consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from within the app: open About → Privacy settings to reopen the consent form. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it, and takes effect immediately. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.

Your rights. Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you have the right to request access to your personal data; to request rectification of inaccurate data; to request erasure; to request restriction of processing; to data portability; to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at appsbayarea@gmail.com. Because our apps do not require an account and we do not store personal data on our own servers, we may ask you for information necessary to locate any data relating to you, and in some cases we may be unable to identify you, in which case we will tell you so.

Data held by Google. Advertising data collected through Google AdMob is held by Google as an independent controller. You may exercise your rights in respect of that data directly with Google at https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

International transfers. Our third-party service providers, including Google, may process your data outside the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Where they do, those transfers are made under safeguards approved for that purpose, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch). A list of EEA supervisory authorities is available at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.

Your California Privacy Rights

This section applies to residents of California and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”). Residents of other U.S. states with comparable privacy laws may have similar rights, and we will honor equivalent requests where those laws apply.

Information we collect. In the twelve months preceding the date of this policy, our apps have collected the following categories of personal information, in each case through third-party advertising and diagnostic services rather than on our own servers:

  • Identifiers — your device’s advertising identifier and IP address.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information — interactions with ads, and app diagnostic and crash information.
  • Inferences — advertising interest categories inferred by our advertising partners.

We collect this information to display and measure advertising, to diagnose errors, and to protect against fraud and abuse. We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account information, precise geolocation, biometric information, or the contents of your communications. We retain no personal information on our own servers; retention of the information above is governed by our advertising partners’ own policies.

“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” We do not sell your personal information for money. However, when our apps show personalized ads, your device’s advertising identifier is made available to Google AdMob for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under the CCPA, that qualifies as “sharing” — and, on a broad reading, as a “sale” — of personal information. You have the right to opt out.

To opt out, use any of the following. Each takes effect immediately and does not affect your ability to use our apps:

  • In the app: open About → Privacy settings, where that option is offered.
  • On iOS: decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”. You may also turn off Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads.
  • On Android: go to Settings → Google → Ads and select “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (or “Delete advertising ID”).
  • By email: write to appsbayarea@gmail.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.

We honor Global Privacy Control and other opt-out preference signals where our apps and our service providers are able to receive them.

Your rights. Subject to verification and to the exceptions in the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion of your personal information; to request correction of inaccurate personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a limitation right. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at appsbayarea@gmail.com; we will respond within the timeframes the CCPA requires.

Non-discrimination. We will not deny you our apps, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level or quality of service because you exercised any of these rights. All app features work identically whether or not you consent to personalized advertising.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Data Deletion

Our apps do not require an account or login. We do not store any personal data on our own servers.

Any data stored locally on your device (such as reminder preferences) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data associated with the app.

For data collected by third-party services such as Google AdMob (e.g., advertising identifiers), please use the following options:

  • Reset your advertising ID: On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Reset Advertising Identifier.
  • Opt out of personalized ads: On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads.
  • Request deletion of data held by Google: Visit https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy or contact Google directly via their Privacy Policy.

If you have questions about data deletion, please contact us at appsbayarea@gmail.com and we will assist you within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Apps Bay may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
